If there's one home-made meal to enjoy when not dining in one of the nearby acclaimed restaurants, make it the fisherman's daily catch with a side of local samphire from nearby Pegwell Bay. On long, lazy afternoons, a cosy nook in the corner of the lounge provides the perfect spot for reading a book as you listen to the waves on the shore below.
