It’s basically like having your own private beach – step straight from the pretty coastal garden and onto the shore right in front of you. Just a stone’s throw from historic Walmer Castle, Beachcomber Cottage is your perfect seaside escape.

Stroll the easy-going coastal path to Kingsdown or stretch your legs up on the cliffs – all part of the National Trust, so those views are forever wild. If you’re up for a gentle pedal, the flat path in front of the cottage is perfect for cycling. And if you fancy a bite to eat or a mooch around, Deal is ... a delightful 15-minute wander away.

Inside, the cottage has an airy, open-plan kitchen and dining room that’s perfect for sociable suppers after a day at the beach. You’ll find shells and beachcomber bits dotted throughout – feel free to add your own finds for the next guests.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

· Free parking just outside – no stress, no searching

· A garden at the front – perfect for a morning coffee in the sea air

· All on one level – easy and relaxed (few steps to the entrance)

· Open-plan kitchen and dining room

· Two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room

· A third bedroom with a double bunk underneath and a single bunk on top, plus another en-suite shower room

· A solid door that separates the bunk bedroom from the rest of the cottage

  • Parking:

You can park for free outside the property, but you may prefer to park away from the property as turning around is tight. Just before the property on the right you will see about 4/5 bays on the beach. You can also park on any of the other spots on the road. Parking is not usually an issue because people have no need to go to the end as it's a dead end. There is, however, some work being done on the house next door (it is detached and the noisy work has been completed), but the tradesmen are often parked outside on weekdays. I recommend, parking in the little side road before the property or in the bays on the beach to avoid the tight turning point at the end. Also, you may want to use the torch/phone light for night-time when walking to the property, so I suggest you leave the lounge light on when you go out at night and keep your phone torch handy too.
