Seaglass

Deal, Kent

Located just seconds to the beach, Seaglass has been restored by the current owners into a sophisticated retreat sure to delight discerning couples, friends or small families looking for luxury accommodation on the Deal coast.

The cosy interior offers a calming and private oasis from the buzz of Deal’s old town and the rest of the world. Come summer, take a picnic blanket, and relax to the sound of the waves crashing on shore of the beach opposite. While autumn and winter bring cooler days, enjoy a steaming mug of cocoa by the wood-burner as you plan blustery walks
along the beach opposite the front of the apartment.

Seaglass has its own private entrances located at the front and at the side of a spacious sea-facing Victorian terrace in the heart of Deal. To access the apartment, which is on the LG floor, there are about 6 concrete steps leading down to the apartment's front door.

Once inside, this beautiful home is located on one level – perfect for those who don’t wish to navigate steep stairs up and down once inside the apartment.

It also boasts two walk-in rainfall showers, one en-suite. The property is conveniently located in the centre of Deal just 7 steps to the beach and a few mins walk to shops, restaurants, the train station (about 6 mins) and supermarket/s (about 6 mins). You can even buy fresh local Dover sole or seabass right outside your door from the fishing boats perched on the beach opposite.

Inside:
Draw out breakfast around the stylish mid-century dining table with local buns from Deal’s coastal bakeries, Eat & Mess and Bygabo, accompanied by cups of tea, before heading out for the day. On chilly winter evenings the gas woodburner in the living room creates an irresistible pull as you listen to the waves crashing on the beach outside with the door ajar. Sit with a glass of wine and bask in the ambient glow as you take time for yourself to relax.

Outside:
Seaglass comes with private parking, which is on a first-come first-served basis (there are 3 spaces for 5 properties).

The area:
Deal’s old town is a higgledy-piggledy affair with narrow roads, independent shops and a lively farmers' market on Saturdays.
If you can tear yourself away from this peaceful home (and you must), 5 minutes or so down the road you'll find award-winning restaurants and wine bars offering live music. Deal itself was voted one of the best places to live by the Times in 2021. Pretty coloured Georgian houses, great food and a thriving creative community make for a special seaside spot and great getaway!

We have stayed here many times before and just love the huge lounge and dinning room. The location is brilliant with a view to die for. Booking process was very efficient and we were kept informed along the way. A quirky residence that ticks lots of boxes

This is a gorgeous little cottage in an idyllic location right on the beach. The view of the sea from the main bedroom window is amazing to wake up to. It makes getting out of bed very difficult. We left the top of the stable door open when we were home letting in the breeze and all the sounds of the sea, holidaymakers on the beach and seagulls in. The whole atmosphere had a lovely Enid Blyton vibe of long adventurous, hot sunny days at the seaside, calling the family in off the beach for their evening meal. It was the most perfect holiday. The cottage also has a log burner so I imagine it would be very cosy in colder seasons too.

The house was at a great location, right near the seafront and High Street. It was fabulously decorated with great attention to detail. The only slight drawback was that you couldn't park outside all day but there was plenty of parking on the surrounding streets.

Lots of top tips given at the house of where to visit, restaurants, bars etc and added bonus of a beautiful little garden. Thank you, would definitely return.

We had a ladies two night getaway and had a lovely time. Central House is a little quirky but in a nice way. The view of the sea from the 1st floor living room is fantastic and, surprisingly, the location is very quiet. Lovely big kitchen with all you need for preparing meals Lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. But, best of all, being able to run across the road to swim whatever the state of the tide. Wonderful!
