Peony cottage is situated on the corner of a row of pretty fisherman's cottages, close to the beach in Deal. The easterly facing windows look up onto the promenade and beach, which, you can see in the distance about 50 steps away from the cottage.

There's a laid-back feel to the cottage; think lazy summer mornings breakfasting in bed or blustery winter walks before you cosy up with a cup of cocoa back at base. Whether on a solo creative retreat, romantic weekend or a little-family holiday, guests will love the simple charm of Peony cottage.

The beach is within touching distance from the cottage, just a stone’s throw away (quite literally). Wander through Deal’s Georgian conservation area to the award-winning high street, about a 5 min walk, dotted with independent shops, cafes and a great choice of restaurants. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all that Deal has to offer.
The area:
Spend the day relaxing on the pebbles, dip your toes in the Channel or stretch your legs with a walk or a cycle ride along the esplanade in front of the house with a pit stop at the locally renowned Zetland Arms pub right on the beach at Kingsdown.

There are also board games in the kitchen cupboard and 2 adult sized high back chairs for the beach with drink holders in the double bedroom cupboard.
Also, like many traditional fishermen’s cottages in Deal, the staircase is relatively narrow and has a tighter turn at the top. Guests with reduced mobility, balance issues, or difficulty managing stairs may find access to the first floor challenging.
