Serenity House

Deal, Kent

A clapperboard coastal retreat settled in the buzzy seaside town of Deal, Serenity House marries a cool coastal vibe with a Scandi-luxe theme. A fresh approach on coastal living, this modern, well-equipped, self-catering home is a place to relax and unwind for both couples and young families.

Inside, the open-plan living area was designed with toasty winters in mind as well as long, lazy summer days spent in the garden under azure blue skies. Large patio doors from the lounge create and indoor-outdoor living space perfect for the modern family.

Culinary enthusiasts have a well-equipped kitchen in which
to get creative, with an abundance of local produce – from the sea and land – readily available for those who want to enjoy a true taste of Kent.

Serenity House offers two bedrooms plus a double sofa bed and sleeps up to 6 guests (plus a baby in a crib). Upstairs lofty ceilings, calm hues and clean lines create a serene space in which to de-stress and unwind. In the master bedroom the king-size four-poster bed oozes laid-back luxury and offers something a little less ordinary as you drift off to sleep, dreaming of sun-kissed skies and salty air.

Deal itself has all you could need for a coastal escape. A 10 minute walk from the house is a beautiful stretch of pebble beach that stretches as far as Sandwich Bay in one direction or Kingsdown cliffs in the other.

Take a morning to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Deal’s traditional Saturday street-market, hop on the boat from Sandwich Quay (15 mins by car) to go seal spotting, or stay closer to home with a cycle ride to Deal beach for a picnic or follow the National Cycle network Route 1 along the coast to Sandwich or Kingsdown.

We have stayed here many times before and just love the huge lounge and dinning room. The location is brilliant with a view to die for. Booking process was very efficient and we were kept informed along the way. A quirky residence that ticks lots of boxes

Lovely, spacious house. Super enclosed garden. Excellent functional kitchen with all facilities. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay in Deal. Booking process good with clear informative emails from Ally. Thank you.

This is a gorgeous little cottage in an idyllic location right on the beach. The view of the sea from the main bedroom window is amazing to wake up to. It makes getting out of bed very difficult. We left the top of the stable door open when we were home letting in the breeze and all the sounds of the sea, holidaymakers on the beach and seagulls in. The whole atmosphere had a lovely Enid Blyton vibe of long adventurous, hot sunny days at the seaside, calling the family in off the beach for their evening meal. It was the most perfect holiday. The cottage also has a log burner so I imagine it would be very cosy in colder seasons too.

The house was at a great location, right near the seafront and High Street. It was fabulously decorated with great attention to detail. The only slight drawback was that you couldn't park outside all day but there was plenty of parking on the surrounding streets.

Had an absolutely amazing stay for friends birthdays, the house was perfect in every. Immaculately clean, great central location for Deal town and the beach. Lots of top tips given at the house of where to visit, restaurants, bars etc and added bonus of a beautiful little garden. Thank you, would definitely return.

We had a ladies two night getaway and had a lovely time. Central House is a little quirky but in a nice way. The view of the sea from the 1st floor living room is fantastic and, surprisingly, the location is very quiet. Lovely big kitchen with all you need for preparing meals Lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. But, best of all, being able to run across the road to swim whatever the state of the tide. Wonderful!
