Sunbeam cottage is an idyllic base from which to explore the beautiful coastline that surrounds; head out on leg-stretching walks right from the doorstep. With Sandwich Bay (a Special Area of Conservation) in one direction and St Margaret’s Bay (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) in the other, there is no shortage of adventures to be had.

Historians will love the ancient sites including three of our county's most iconic castles, Walmer, Deal and Dover, as well the ruins of Sandown castle just a few mins walk from the cottage. For sporty types, there's surfing at Broadstairs beach, kitesurfing in Pegwell Bay and plenty of sailing along the coastline.

A picturesque and quaint coastal town, Deal has all you could need for a coastal escape. A few seconds walk from the cottage is a beautiful stretch of shingle beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. Spend the day relaxing on the pebbles, dip your toes in the Channel or stretch your legs with a walk or a cycle ride along the esplanade with a pit stop at the locally renowned Zetland Arms pub right on the beach at Kingsdown.

Wander through Deal’s Georgian conservation area to the award-winning high street dotted with independent shops, cafes and a great choice of restaurants. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all that Deal has to offer.

Sunbeam Cottage is located one row back from the beach itself so our geusts spend most of their days outside on the beach! There's also a lovely small courtyard garden for catching rays and listening to the waves crash on the beach!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a gorgeous little cottage in an idyllic location right on the beach.  The view of the sea from the main bedroom window is amazing to wake up to. It makes getting out of bed very difficult. We left the top of the stable door open when we were home letting in the breeze and all the sounds of the sea, holidaymakers on the beach and seagulls in.  The whole atmosphere had a lovely Enid Blyton vibe of long adventurous, hot sunny days at the seaside, calling the family in off the beach for their evening meal. It was the most perfect holiday.  The cottage also has a log burner so I imagine it would be very cosy in colder seasons too.

It was fabulously decorated with great attention to detail.  The only slight drawback was that you couldn't park outside all day but there was plenty of parking on the surrounding streets.

Immaculately clean, great central location for Deal town and the beach. Lots of top tips given at the house of where to visit, restaurants, bars etc and added bonus of a beautiful little garden. We had a ladies two night getaway and had a lovely time. Central House is a little quirky but in a nice way. The view of the sea from the 1st floor living room is fantastic and, surprisingly, the location is very quiet. Lovely big kitchen with all you need for preparing meals Lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.  But, best of all, being able to run across the road to swim whatever the state of the tide. Wonderful!
