Back in the 1800’s, Gone Adrift was a thriving local store selling fresh produce to the people of Deal. Some 200 years later, it’s started a new chapter as a cosy self-catering bolt-hole ideal for couples, small families or business travellers looking for homely accommodation in the heart of Deal’s conservation area.

Inside:
As you climb two stone steps up to the front door you can’t help but notice a dip under foot – so well worn is the concrete after years of use as a thriving shop in the heart of the community – a nod through the ...
centuries back to days-gone-by.

You’ll love the crow’s nest bunk that’s hidden behind some original panelled doors. Perfect for anyone seeking something a little bit unusual during their stay – kids and big kids alike! Don’t forget the popcorn because there’s even a TV in the bunk to play your favourite movies.

Outside:
Access to the garden is via a side gate that runs down the edge of the property. Here you’ll love to dine alfresco or escape to read a book quietly where nobody can find you.

The area:
Wander through Deal’s Georgian conservation area to the award-winning high street, about a 5 min walk, dotted with independent shops, cafes and a great choice of restaurants.

Spend the day relaxing on the nearby beach (a few mins walk), dip your toes in the Channel or stretch your legs with a walk or a cycle ride along the esplanade with a pit stop at the locally renowned Zetland Arms pub right on the beach at Kingsdown.
