Barbican House is a Grade II listed building in the heart of the medieval town of Sandwich, located within seconds of the river Stour and a 5-minute drive from Sandwich Bay where you will also find two world famous golf courses - Royal St George's and Prince's.

Barbican House is a special place for those looking for an unconventional experience. Here you can step back in time and enjoy a truly English home full of history in the heart of the best-preserved medieval town in Europe.

On the ground floor as you enter the house there are two ... sitting areas and a study. Then a separate dining area and large kitchen and back door that opens out onto a secret walled garden. At the back of the property is a small utility area and WC.

Upstairs, you will find the master bedroom with 4 poster bed; as well as a second double bedroom, also with a 4 poster bed; a single bedroom with a window onto the secret garden; and a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath.

Outside, you can enjoy a secluded walled garden.

Getting Around:
The train station is a 5-8 minute walk.

Staying Rules:
The property and its fittings are hundreds of years old. So please do take care. We have just a few simple rules. The fireplace permitted to use is the wood burning stove in the lounge. The other fireplaces do not have safety guards and we do not therefore deem them safe for guest use.

Please do not use the decorative candles (coloured or non-coloured) located in the sconces on the walls, ceiling or in candle holders. These are for decorative purposes only and drip quite profusely.

Dogs are not permitted on the furniture.

The house is non-smoking.
